Taelor Fisher is a Mother, Artist, and Librarian in Dallas, TX.
Taelor Fisher is a Dallas-based artist whose work is rooted in the intimacy of daily life and the transformative experience of motherhood. She holds a BA in Art History and Studio Art from Southern Methodist University and spent several years as an art teacher in Highland Park ISD before transitioning to a full-time studio practice more than a decade ago. In 2025, she will complete her Master’s in Library Science, a pursuit that reflects her lifelong commitment to the collection, preservation, and sharing of human stories.
Fisher’s sculptural works are born from an almost alchemical process: recycled papers—often remnants of family life—are pulped, spun into thread, and intertwined with found objects. These threads form nets, lattices, and textile-like surfaces that evoke fabric but carry the layered history of their materials. The act of spinning paper into thread is both a literal and symbolic weaving of memory, connection, and care—mirroring the invisible networks of motherhood, where fragments of time and attention are gathered and bound into something enduring.
Her practice blurs boundaries between craft, sculpture, and conceptual art, transforming the overlooked and discarded into tactile narratives of resilience, interdependence, and beauty.
